	Girl Group Sound: 25 All Time Greatest Hits From Red Bird Records by Various Artists Buy new: $17.98 / Used from: $12.48 Another classic label, Redbird Records; a solid girl group selection.
	Cameo Parkway 1957-1967 by Various Artists Buy new: $37.47 / Used from: $19.88 This is a perfect balance of the big hits (Rydell, Orlons) you'd expect, and some of their more obscure - but still rockin' - releases.
	Back to Mono (1958-1969) by Phil Spector Buy used from: $32.99 Okay, forget the sad details of Phil Spector today; this is the stuff that earned him the moniker "boy genius" and is the part of his musical reputation that will endure.

This is a wide selection, from the 50s to the 90s, and worth picking up if, like me, you foolishly jettisoned too many of your old LPs over the years.
	Hitsville USA, Vol. 1: The Motown Singles Collection 1959-1971 by Various Artists Buy new: $33.47 / Used from: $24.50 Another solid selection, this one of timeless Motor City hits.
	Stax 50th Anniversary Celebration by Various Artists Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $10.59 Another famous label, and this is why. Excellent selection of hits.
	Hot Rod Box Set by Various Artists Buy used from: $48.14 And what comprehensive rock and roll dream collection would be complete without this? Answer - none.
	Malt Shop Memories 10-CD Boxed Set! by Dion Buy used from: $65.97 This box set is pricey, yes, but look at what you get. Like they say on TV, it really would cost a lot more to put all this together one artist/group at a time.
	One Kiss Can Lead to Another: Girl Group Sounds Lost and Found by Various Artists Buy new: $63.99 / Used from: $47.49 There's a lot of Girl Group compliations etc out there, and not all of them are quality, but the selection in this one really adds to one's appreciation and understanding of the genre.
	Rock Instrumental Classics, Vol. 1: The Fifties by Various Artists Buy new: $13.96 / Used from: $5.23 This is part of a very comprehensive series, but if you just want the early glory days, pick up Vols 1 and 2.
