Every time a song from this album comes on in the car, my daughters stop what they're doing and become completely entranced with the music. Kira Willey has such a beautiful voice, and my daughters (who usually ONLY like dancey tunes) are enraptured with the music and the images she paints in her songs.

I have no idea why this is so expensive (we rented it from Netflix), but this is a gorgeous movie with a sweet story, cute characters and artwork that is a full-on tribute to nature. Our girls love it and so do we. I'm sure you can get it for less somewhere.

You need three players to play, but when I was little and the girls started bringing these to our recess, we could not get enough of this game! It's a lot of fun.

A neat spin on Memory. You have remember not just the placement of each player's 5 cards, but also how they have been manipulated during the game. Our 5-year-old wins this game more often than we do. Haba is also wonderful because they use the smallest boxes they can for all of their games.

A 20-questions type game where the player has to guess which card is on their own head, and the other players in the game answer their yes or no questions. It's a neat idea.

We love these things- and so do all of our neighbors!

I love all of the Brain Quest cards, and there are so many to choose from.

It's great to start doing finger puppet shows using stories that everyone knows already- it gets everyone to participate right from the beginning, and it's even liberating to have a script that you already know by heart- it's much easier to improvise within a known structure.

So our girls didn't use these quite the way I expected them to -recording themselves singing songs and telling stories. Instead they have spent hours using these to hear themselves make funny noises. Still these recorders were well worth buying. I'm not sure which model I actually ended up purchasing, but there are many to choose from and most have decent reviews.

This won't fit in their stockings with the packaging but unwrapped they will fit. These magnets are fun to play with, and you can do quite a few beginning experiments with them. To do more advanced experiments you will just need two strong bar magnets, iron filings and maybe some safety glasses also. My girls really like this set.

This game is very good. Age 5 is when they may be able start getting it on their own.

Yes, these things break, but they're so great while they are working.

My Husband loves this video and DVD just as much as our girls do.
