More than I expected
The cover has a nice leather interior (I think pigskin) not shown in the photos. The velcro is even the nice not too strong type. Overall its quality is more than I had hoped for. The only other feature I would want is a stiff board sewn in the front to protect the screen for when I'm travelling and pack other items with my Kindle. Since I have read reviews where people have damaged their screens this is a special concern for me.

Perfect DX Protector
When I bought my Kindle DX, I also bought the Amazon leather cover. The problem I've had with it is the combined weight of the two. Particularly when I am reading in bed, the weight makes my wrists hurt. I'd taken to removing the DX from the cover for actual reading, and then using the cover as a sort of sleeve for carrying it around, but that wasn't working really well either. The metal prongs in the cover scratched the edge of the Kindle.

This cover from Incipio is the perfect solution, I think. It's a lightweight but thick felt sleeve padded with soft leather, and the Kindle DX slides in and out of it easily and can be secured with a velcro tab. I can slide the Kindle out for reading and slide it back in for carrying.

By all means if the weight of your DX plus its leather cover is problematical, this is a great solution!

not enough protection!!! -- updated after 3 month of daily uses --
As the other reviewer stated, if you like to take your Kindle DX out of its cover during readings, this is a great case/sleeve for you - good protection, light weight, and pretty nice looking.

My only complain to this type of cover is that I have nowhere to clip my reading light on during night reading - I certainly don't want to risk scratching my Kindle (especially the screen) by clipping the light directly to the device.

Updated after a few month of usage:

The screen of my KDX was fractured one day while it was stored in this case and tossed in my handbag on my way home from work. No I don't know what happened exactly but I do know that I didn't drop my bag or hit it hard on anything etc. And you bet that I got a hard shell cover for my replacement Kindle instead... Still sad...
