There's a cool new development in summer singles: they no longer need to be sunny. In fact, the wetter the better. "Umbrella," the first single off Rihanna's ragingly good third album, may be her strongest ditty yet, and that's saying something considering her run of past summer chartbusters. More stylish than "S.O.S." (from A Girl Like Me) and more interesting than "Pon de Replay" (from Music of the Sun), "Umbrella" barrels forward with big, brawny drums and a hot but haunted-sounding vocal. From there, the upbeat numbers chug forth like chilled pina colada mix into a blender: "Breakin' Dishes" trades skillfully on a recent vogue for man-directed venom, and "Shut Up and Drive" borrows "S.O.S."-style from the '80s New Order song "Blue Monday." Both are irresistible. So, too, are a couple of late tracks. "Rehab" and "Lemme Get That," both produced by Timbaland, prove that being an island girl is no barrier to holding one's own amid a sizzling stew of urban beats. In fact, it's a boon--one that'll register with pop music fans instantly. -Tammy La Gorce

Rihanna's Best Album Ever
"Good Girl Gone Bad" has to be Rihanna's greatest album ever. It's got a mixture of dance, pop, and R&B. The songs are amazing and Rihanna sounds better than ever. Here are my favorite songs from this album:
1.) Umbrella: Luv that song! Catchy tune, catchy lyrics. Who would love this?
2.) Don't Stop the Music: It has to be THE biggest dance song of the 2000's.
3.) Hate That I Love You So: I luv this song! Rihanna and Ne-Yo sound so sweet and it's got that great guitar music in the song. Luv it so much!
4.) Question Existing: The song is good, but the lyrics are kinda hard to understand. I think she's talking about how she's normal like everyone else and how it's like being in the spotlight and trying to figure out which people to trust or not to trust.
5.) Good Girl Gone Bad: Good song with great guitar music. I love the part in the song where she sings, "You better learn how to treat us right, 'cause once a good girl goes bad, we die forever."
All in all, Rihanna did a great job on this album. She is one of the most amazingly talented female singers of all time!
great
I had a very good experience in purchasing this product. It came within the estimated delivery time and the casework and cd are in great shape.
I LIKE MOST OF IT.
Great CD just hate that it's only 11 songs. But I like majority of them so I would recommend this CD. HOWEVER THE SONG I REALLY LIKE "TAKE A BOW" IS NOT ON THIS CD. AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE REASONS I BOUGHT IT.
