Everything you asked for is finally here! The inverted dome allows you to softly diffuse direct light with a large, soft source without creating flare on the front of your lens. Customer Reviews

If you have one diffuser, this is it. 5
OK, there is no one diffuser to work in all situations, but this one is pretty darned versatile. And you can find knock-offs on a certain auction site.

Energy Hog3
I like mine just fine... it just sucks up way too much power. When Gary Fong says it shoots light in every direction he's not lying! Every time you shoot with this thing it throws light on your subject... and everywhere else around you. I'd rather light only my subject and not waste light on everyone else in the room.

If you want an energy-efficient diffusion system, this isn't it. Although it's great for blinding people at weddings when they're shooting over your shoulder :)

Great in Small Spaces4
I really love this diffuser. It is especially great in small spaces. There not quite as much light as I would have hoped but I am sure I can rectify that buy getting the optional insert that doubles the amount of direct light.
