Yes it's overpriced. But since iPods aren't expandable, getting the largest one makes sense. Can't wait for the price to come down.

Buy new: $949.99 Not too much is new about this laptop. They've finally included a decent amount of RAM (3 GB) and hard drive space (250 GB) that you may be able to use this one more than a year without replacing it. The $1000 list price is only slightly over-priced.

Compared to my many non-Apple players (Creative, Sandisk, etc) I still miss the ease of use and software compatibility of the competition. Apple's great design and content make the trade-off more bearable. The new apps are ok, but I'll live without them till they're free.
