The production is a handy guide for understanding women, rather than a theological lesson or a resource for troubled marriages. Bible quotes and mental health prescriptions are minimized in favor of practical insights and advice. Nathan Larkin somehow tones down the already low-key writing, thus flattening the material even more but not threatening its accessibility. The generalizations about what men expect are uninspiring, in spite of the narrator's attempt to speak buddy to buddy with his male listeners. Shaunti Feldhahn is a best-selling author of For Women Only, a public speaker, and a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist. She contributes the conservative opinion for the Atlanta Journal- Constitution’s popular online “Woman to Woman” column which is syndicated all over the country. Shaunti holds a masters degree in public policy from Harvard University, and worked on Wall Street and Capitol Hill before becoming a surprise bestselling author in 1998. This wife of attorney and co-author Jeff Feldhahn and mother of two, now applies her analytical skills to illuminating those important, surprising truths that people really need to understand about each other. The book gives a good, grounded introduction into the inner workings of male - female relationships and is suitable for both married and unmarried men.

Great read- fun and insightful!
Our pastor recommended this book (who knew!). My husband read "For Men Only" and I read "For Women Only." Before we were married, we decided that each year, we would read a 'foster our relationship' book together. This is by far the best read we've done! Very insightful, specific and a fun read. We've already recommended these books to a number of friends and family members- both those with great marriages and those that could stand a little assistance. We recommend these books to anyone that isn't a mind-reader when it comes to their spouse!

For Men Only
This book is outstanding! It helped my husband understand things that I had been trying to explain to him for years. He now has a very clear understanding of the female brain and the many emotions and thoughts that dominate a woman's life. It has opened up many deep conversations between us and aided in our growing much closer emotionally, physically and spiritually. It is VERY user friendly with a cleverly presented "Quick Start Guide," and written in "guy" language.
