They should now be called NaviGONE.
I bought my Navigon GPS (7200T) because it had the most features for the lowest price. That still holds true. Very nice unit- attractive and works well, too. Recently, I wanted to update the maps, but there was no Freshmaps Activation card in the box from Amazon. You need the code on that card to get updates. So, I emailed Navigon support for assistance. They sent the following:

'Thank you for your inquiry. Accessories, map material and content are not available in North America through NAVIGON. Unfortunately we don't have information concerning the availability of these products at other major retail shops.'

As has been noted in the posted comments, and which I discovered too late, Navigon is pulling out of the North America market. Beware of this major change, and buy accordingly. They should now be called NaviGONE.

Navigon 2100 MAX ..is perfect!
Best GPS unit I have ever bought! traveled for 8 years with bunch of junks like Garmin, tomtom. [...]. This unit work better then ever. Great product and great many features...high recommend! every product you will get pro and con. But by far this is the best. Oh! don't listen to the review up above. Navigon still support Maps update for North American and will continue to. They just stop selling their product here. but the maps continues.

Dead product
Navigon has exited the North American GPS market, and has done so in a spectacularly irresponsible fashion. Even if you bought your device new last month, you will not be able to update your maps, nor get technical assistance. Even those of us who purchased three years of map updates before they closed shop are not getting our promised (and paid for!) map updates. Unless you can get a great deal on one of these, such that you won't mind using a product with no technical support or warranty, and on old maps, do NOT buy one of these.
