Customer Reviews

Better Birthing with Hypnosis4
I read Creative Childbirth (by the same author)with my second child and was able to have a totally natural childbirth with the methods explained in that book. I am now expecting my third child and read Better Birthing with Hypnosis and feel it contained more in depth decriptions on how to relax and gave more information about what to do and when to do it. I feel comfortable that I will be able to have another natural, less painfull birth this time, as I did with my second child.

Easy and helpful4
This book offered me practical tips to get through what I expected to be a difficult birth. I only read it several weeks before I had my baby, but it worked. I loved the 'anchor' point and my husband did many of the exercises with me, too. I highly recommend this to all pregnant mothers. Best of all, it only took a few minutes a day to use all the advice!

I plan to use hypnosis for birth, but ...3
This book is a bit too "new-agey" for my taste. I think the ideas presented are good, and I do intend to use hypnosis with the birth of my next child, but this book just didn't appeal to me as much as I thought it might.

It also seemed to present some mixed information on breastfeeding, which is a particular pet peeve of mine. Some of the information given was very good, and other information was not exactly in line with current medical recommendations.

All in all, it's certainly not a bad book, and if your tastes run more to the new-age in other areas, you will probably particularly enjoy this book. If not, you may prefer a different method for learning hypnosis for childbirth.
