This is a great item. It keeps your baby secure and if you happen to be lucky like us and get colicky babies with reflux it's the best. It even allowed us to lay our babies sideways with they preferred to totally flat on their backs and I didn't worry every second about them rolling over onto their tummies.

This is a MUST HAVE! Your child will sleep so much better with a swaddle and this particular one will keep even the best Houdini in place. We bought several different brands until we found this one. Get it and use it. You'll thank me...

This is THE nursing pillow to get. It's larger and more cushy than the Boppy which is why you'll use it much longer. It's super soft material is cozy for baby and the size is great for nursing the until your done (be it one year, two years, etc...) It's also great to sleep on. Worth the money.

This is pricey but many sunscreens are toxic for children and adults and this one is rated the best for protection AND saftey. Plus a tiny dollop covers a huge amount of skin.

Whatever brand you get, you must have a blanket that has waterproof backing. Parks, playdates, outdoor concerts, or even in the backyard- we use this item almost daily.

We have this in our home and it's great to get the kids used to sitting in this kind of chair. That way when they go out for dining, they are fine. It's also much more attractive and durable than the plastic ones with a ton of features you don't need. (who reclines their child in the high chair?)

You can pick whatever fabric you choose but I think this is the best car seat out there. I researched extensively and we love this one. As soon as you're done with the infant seat you can move into this and it's SO COMFY for the kid.

Infant Massage is a wonderful skill to learn. We took a class (based on this book) at our hospital and I suggest a class if possible. It helps with bonding (especially good for dads, grandparents, etc... who don't get the bonding that comes from nursing) and it's also really helpful with colic/gas issues. Massaging your children will be a part of the bedtime for years to come...

Many people LOVE bouncers. My kids weren't into them but I added it to the list because so many of my friends have called this a Godsend.

Whatever brand you get, you must get a bunch of cloth diapers. They are so useful as burp cloths and everything else. I even use one to cover baby in his infant car seat when it's hot outside. Really good to have around.
