Children have a natural ability to learn multiple languages easily. Studies show that from birth to age 12, a child's brain is more open to assimilate and retain other languages. With repeat exposure to another language, your child's mental development will be enriched and carry over into all aspects of learning. This entire CD has been sung only in Spanish to immerse the child fully in the language. This method has been proven to be the most effective way to teach secondary languages. Nursery rhyme songs are a perfect way to introduce or continue developing another language in a familiar setting. Children will recognize the tunes and be able to make a connection with what they are singing. The tempo of these songs has been slowed down slightly so that the words are easy for children to hear and articulate themselves, in order to sing along. Written lyrics have also been included. About the Artist
Lead Vocalist Mayra Whitcomb is an accomplished native Mexican singer with a beautiful voice. She also had her own band in Mexico before moving to the United States of America. Keyboardist Michelyn Hays is a wonderful, accomplished musician who has mastered the piano, keyboard and organ through years of training. Producer and Backround Vocalist Tammy Nysetvold started this project because of her passion for children's language development.

FORMIDABLE!
As a mother trying to teach my 3 year-old son Spanish, I enjoy this CD greatly, the songs are already familiar to the kids, and their learning capacity, even on a foreign language, is trully impressive, but most of all, my son loves it!

Distinct enunciation makes each word understandable
The absence of a lot of instruments makes the words on this CD very EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I already knew the English words to the songs ("Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," etc.) Because the singer pronounced each word very clearly, I quickly learned Spanish vocabulary while driving in my car.

Entertaining & educational for the little ones...
The simplicity of the accompaniment and the familiarity of the songs to the English speaker facilitates understanding of the Spanish lyrics. The artist has a nice voice and the words are individually enunciated making it easy to sing along. My children enjoy this CD and it is fun to see them picking up another language through music!!
