We are all involved in relationships. Indeed, we are all in relationship with everything and everyone, all of the time. We have a relationship with ourselves, with our family, with our environment, with our work, with each other. Everything that we know and experience about ourselves, we understand within the context created by our relationships.
For this reason, relationships are sacred—all relationships. And somewhere within the deepest reaches of our heart and soul, we know it. That is why we yearn so for relationships—and for relationships of meaning. It is also, no doubt, why we have such trouble with them. At some level, we must be very clear how much is at stake. Yet it is possible to have joyful relationships, and the extraordinary insights in the Conversations with God books show us how.
Neale Donald Walsch on Relationships is inspirational, humorous, and practical. Neale examines the patterns that hinder our ability to build and maintain successful relationships; teaches us to move beyond restrictive ways of relating; and explores different types of relationships—with God, with self, with others—demonstrating how they all affect and enhance each other.
If you want help in understanding relationships, here is a usable, powerful—and entertaining--key to opening the door to awareness.

These small volumes (5x7-1/2) are packed with wisdom. Recommended -- Spiritual Frontiers Journal, Vol.32, Fall/Winter 2000
From AudioFile
Condensed from a live seminar recording, this program allows the listener to hear the author's views on some important issues and to experience him in a more personal way. He makes his points by sharing poignant stories and by engaging intimately with the seminar participants. The live segments are interrupted periodically by studio recordings of Walsch elaborating a point or reading from one of his Conversation With God books to the sound of quiet music. The message is clear enough--that relationships work better when you give instead of receive. For many listeners, the author's comments and personal intensity will be fascinating additions to our understanding of Neale Walsch the man, as well as his message. What do you bring to being a couple?
Having read all of Neale's books, this is an excellent "how-to" book to learn how to be in a relationship with someone you love. Probably, not what you might think, if you are not familiar with Neale's Conversations With God books...but if you would approach the one you love in the manner described in the book both of your lives will change dramatically for the good! As a marriage and family psychotherapist, I use this book frequently with couples to start their "homework" process. While it may feel a bit "new age" with references to God as "he" and "she," know that this is a reminder that God is not that white haired guy on the Cistine Chapel ceiling. Try it and then give it to another couple, pass it on.

Neale Donald Walsch on Relationships
If you've ever wondered about relationships and all the shoulds our society loads a relationship down with, this is a must-read. Be prepared to think beyond concepts like submission, and to explore concepts of mutual respect, equal worth, cooperation and consideration - characteristics that can be found when reading definitions of love but so often overlooked when discussing marriage and relationships.
