Product Description

Connects the arrival of a new type of children with the fulfillment of the Fifth World of the Mayan Calendar and other great prophecies

• Provides detailed information about the world changes that will take place before and after December 21, 2012

• Explores the seven "root races" representing the genetic gene pool of the human family and the phenomenon of soaring intelligence

• Explains the grand sweep of human evolution and the worldwide ascension of energy now occurring, which will take humanity to the next level of development

According to prophecy, the fifth sun or fifth world of the Mayan calendar moves into a higher octave of vibration, or ascension, on December 21, 2012. This date represents a "gateway" of planetary development that will open humanity to new ways of living and new worlds of opportunity. Ancient traditions have foretold that our successful passage through this gateway depends on the "fifth root race"--new stock in the human gene pool--destined to help us through the exciting and massive changes ahead.

In Beyond the Indigo Children P. M. H. Atwater illuminates the characteristics of the fifth root race, the capstone being the extraordinary "new children," those brilliant and irreverent kids born since 1982. She explores the relationship of the new children to the prophecies in the Mayan calendar and other traditions, providing extensive background information about the seven root races (the sixth and seventh of which haven’t yet appeared) and the great shifting of consciousness already underway. She reveals the connection of the seven root races to the seven chakras, and how the fifth chakra--the chakra of willpower--will be opened for humankind as the new children grow to maturity. She also discusses the phenomenon of soaring intelligence and undeveloped potential and provides concrete guidance and tools for those who seek to understand and help the new children achieve their full potential.

Beyond the Indigo Children is the first major study of today's children, and their place in our rapidly changing world, that combines objective research with mystical revelation and prophecy.

Editorial Reviews

Review
“P. M. H. Atwater’s pioneering work has paved the way for a new way of being and living. Now in Beyond the Indigo Children she beckons us to drop our fears and dogmas and grow into the conscious, spiritual beings that we are. Certainly consciousness has a plan, and she is the guide.”
(Winter Robinson, author of A Hidden Order )

“Drawing from her many decades of research and multitudinous sources, Atwater explains the New Children: who they are, why they are here, and how to recognize them. She further explains how human evolution is taking increasing quantum leaps with each wave of children, particularly with regard to their level of intelligence, which is far beyond what anyone might imagine. She provides practical and very helpful suggestions for recognizing, parenting, and enabling these New Children to adjust to and cope with their environment.”
(Roger Pile, Ph.D., parapsychologist and former director of The Center for Gnostic Education )

“A fascinating and instructive book that provides a wonderful, grounded ‘voice of reason’ among all the misinformation that’s being bandied around about today’s children.”
(Sandie Sedgbeer, Managing Editor, Children of the New Earth magazine )

“Takes the new children--those often termed ‘Indigos’--and places them in a context whose scope boggles the mind. Weaving together metaphysics, legends, new physics, sociology, child development, gifted education, near death experiences, and transformation, Beyond the Indigo Children explains why such children are making waves on the planet and why this is happening now.”
(Betty Maxwell, Associate Editor, Advanced Development journal )

"No matter where your interests lie, you will find this book most informative in clarifying historical timelines and the events leading up to this moment in history, at which we seem to be taking an evolutionary leap in our genetics."
(Rahasya Poe, Lotus Guide, Jan-Feb 2006 )

"Beyond the Indigo Children should be required reading for every parent, teacher, therapist, healer, and doctor who works with children, in order to better understand the spirit of the architects who are rebuilding the way humans will exist on planet Earth, and better support the creation of the most positive future for us all. I give this book my highest recommendation."
(Cynthia Sue Larson, author of Aura Advantage, Karen Kimball & the Dream Weaver's Web, and the online newsletter Reality Shifters )

"Atwater weaves a finely crafted tale of the descent of the human soul from etheric realms of spirit into involvements and entanglements with matter. . . . Her work has provided me with additional wisdom identifying the importance of sharing the keys to the world with children. . . . Through her composition, Atwater has illuminated the fact that what I have witnessed for over twenty years as a Montessori Directress has been the most significant activity that I have ever pursued, i.e. the practice of observing children's remarkable growth and development - experienced on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis in an environment prepared for their exploration. I am again drawn to the assertion that I am watching evolution unfold right before my very eyes in the classroom."
(Carol A. Bye, Montessori educator for over 20 years )

"If you care about children and where we, as a species, are heading, then don't miss this book!"
(Children of the New Earth Magazine, March 2006 )

". . . a satisfying collection of ancient and modern thought on the wisdom of the ages and how it informs the present and explains our new children. . . . This is a book full of fascinating detail, but never loses sight of the responsibility required to bring our new children to their potential. . . . The inescapable conclusion reached is that there is nothing the matter with kids today!"
(Jennifer Hoskins, New Dawn, Mar-Apr 2006 )

"I highly recommend Beyond The Indigo Children to anyone interested in making sense of the times in which we live. It should be required reading for all educators and parents who are grappling with guiding and caring for this new breed. Nothing less than our future is at stake."
(Julie Gillentine )

"[Atwater] offers guidance in dealing with the special challenges associated with nurturing these children to their maturity and facilitating their transition into their responsibilities in leading the earth through the next evolutionary leap."
(Innerchange, April 2006 )

"Highly recommended, especially for parents, educators, and anyone who is wondering which way is up in today's world."
(Light of Consciousness, Spring/Summer 2006 )

"Beyond the Indigo Children will interest a wide variety of readers. I recommend it especially to parents of exceptional or problematic children and to those interested in humanity's evolutionary progress."

"Atwater combines a reasoned approach with a soaring vision for our future."

Very Valuable5
This is not another guidebook for parents of Indigo's or the children themselves. It is more of an overview of the ages of humankind, called Worlds by native tribes, most notably the Mayans. Atwater describes in detail the generations peopling the planet since 1901 to the present, their tasks, the energy of the times and how they handled that. She also thoughtfully discusses the current young adults and the new children being born, and what lies ahead for them in terms of the state of the world, their potentials, strengths and weak points, as well as what various prophecies may mean to humans, the planet and beyond in the years ahead.

Reviews from Sancta Sophia and Julie Gillentine5
"Beyond the Indigo Children by P. M. H. Atwater, explains the grand sweep of human evolution and the worldwide ascension of energy now occurring - which will take humanity to its next level of advancement. A must read for anyone who seeks to better understand and help the new children achieve their potential." ....Sancta Sophia Seminary, Oklahoma

P.M.H. Atwater's latest book Beyond the Indigo Children is a five-alarm wake up call. For anyone who hasn't noticed the speeding up of time and the exponential growth of stimulation in our lives this book describes the almost dizzying rate of acceleration. Atwater addresses the challenges humanity faces at this juncture in our evolution and presents both perils and promises on the uncertain path to the future.

Combining the seemingly contradictory languages of ancient wisdom, philosophy, prophecy and leading edge science she tackles the difficult task of defining the current landscape and framing the context of the dilemmas we face. Guiding the reader through diverse background information from indigenous traditions and prophecy about the unique nature of our time we are introduced to the unsettling characteristics of the "new children."

Atwater argues that these kids, mostly born since the early eighties, have been mistakenly labeled as Indigo Children because of the color of their auras, the normally invisible energy fields surrounding our bodies.
Drawing from new research in this area she offers alternative categories to describe the influences and characteristics of the newest generations.

Whatever we call them the new generations Atwater describes are diverse, sensitive, honest, angry, startlingly intelligent and decidedly different. Prone to like science they process data in different ways and are comfortable with the abstract, providing parents and teachers profound challenges.

This is a thought-provoking and mind-bending book with themes of genetic mutation and lightning fast adaptation as central themes. I highly recommend Beyond The Indigo Children to anyone interested in making sense of the times in which we live. It should be required reading for all educators and parents who are grappling with guiding and caring for this new breed. Nothing less than our future is at stake.

I have enjoyed this authors other books, but this one is repetative and the authors evaluation of the children she writes about is less than professional. I would not recomend this book to parents with young children with behavior problems. There are reasons other than the ones given for childhood problems. It is not fair to restrict ones views with the opinions in the book
