Hendrickson Publishers now offers our new edition of the Hebrew Bible, The Biblia Hebraica Leningradensia, in parallel columns with the King James Version of the Bible resulting in a brand new Hebrew-English Bible that is ideally suited for students of the Bible. It is perfect for classroom work and is a valuable tool for biblical research. The clarity and readability of the Hebrew text alongside the time honored King James Version makes the Parallel Bible an important addition to the libraries of students, pastors, and biblical scholars.

The Biblia Hebraica Leningradensia edition of the Hebrew Bible, the newest addition to Hendrickson PublishersÂ' biblical language series, is the most accurate edition of the Leningrad Codex in print. It was edited by renowned masoretic scholar Aron Dotan. The Leningrad Codex is the oldest complete manuscript of the Hebrew Bible and forms the basis for most of the modern printed editions of the Old Testament. The Parallel Bible provides Hebrew verses beautifully formatted in our new easy-to-read font next to the corresponding verses from the King James Version of the English Bible. The clear text and parallel columns on the same page make this Bible eminently useful for student research.

The Criswell Theological Review
This is a helpful work, especially for the pastor, Bible teacher, or student who needs some help with translation.

Christian and Synagogue Libraries
I am sure this elegant volume will gain a privileged place alongside other Bibles.

no good for spiritual reflection1
shoddy binding--it feels cheap, like a textbook. there's fake marble pattern on the cover. I knew the moment I picked it up that there was no chance. I sent it back to Amazon.

Very Good Bible (Old Testament Only Though)5
Hi everyone who is reading this review, if you want to buy this Bible then go ahead(if you can read both english and hebrew ofcourse) Well I can and for me the english and Hebrew is pretty easy to read (neatly set out) some may think the font is a bit small but not me personally, if the font was any bigger the book would have to be bigger and it's already a pretty big book! :) When I was buying it, I thought that it was the full Bible, but it's not. It's just the Old Testament. But that's OK. It'll take me a while to finish this one before I look for a New Testament (Hebrew-English Parallel). Anyway, great Book with 1883 pages total, not 1250 as Amazon has displayed :)

fast delivery and useful item5
As a translator of Hebrew poetry and a fiction writer who draws upon Biblical imagery, I found this item very helpful. Having the Hebrew and English texts side by side in an easy to read format was tremendously useful and much more user-friendly than other versions. For a deeper reading, I suggest pairing this with The New Oxford Annotated Bible because the Parallel Bible does not have real commentary.
