While the handles are spread a bit wide for small hands to manage easily, the soft grips do add comfort when squeezing to release the dough. sturdy, dish washer safe ,makes perfect size cookies or for whoopie pies, creats a uniform size. wish i had purchased sooner, also has multi purpose, and stiil an ice cream scoop too!!!
