NOT FOOD GRADE - Crystalized for swimming pools
First of all, a disclaimer - this is strictly a safety precaution against human or animal consumption of this product. I have not used this product and it is probably wonderful for its stated use, which the label clearly states it is for swimming pool filters. All research shows that diatomaceous earth used for filters has been highly processed into crystal form and is not appropriate for animal or human consumption. If you are looking for diatomaceous earth for your own consumption or use in animal feed, please search for one that is clearly marked as Food Grade and is NOT formulated for use in swimming pool filters.
