great help for speaking nerves!5
This book was excellent for me because it taught specifics of preparation for your speech to reduce nervousness. Just this year, I started teaching a college class and there were times that my lecture was not as well prepared as others, which made me nervous and affected my performance in delivering the lecture. This book taught me some tips to reduce those feelings of insecurity at not being well prepared and practiced in speaking.

It's the KISS theory...5
I liken this book to the K.I.S.S. theory... Keep it simple stupid! Once you know the basics, the fundamentals of public speaking, the rest is cake... just keep it simple. This book helped make everything make sense so I can be prepared for my next speech. Honestly, preparation seems to be everything. When giving a speech I seem to be nervous only when I'm not prepared. Knowing that I'm giving my speech according to long held "standards"... that I'm doing the "right thing", means my speech is going to make a difference to my listeners and will keep me coming back to this book as a resource over and over again. Keep it simple stupid...
