Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal
Kindergarten-Grade 2-When a mother and father go out for the evening, they tell their son to teach his baby sister about the computer. He is distracted by his computer game, and doesn't realize that she is doing everything he says, cutting when he says, "Cut," drawing a picture when he says, "Draw," and falling when he says, "Tab down." While he plays, she climbs out a window and helps catch a robber. Their parents come home, and all are oblivious to her heroism. Most of the text is comprised of one-word computer terms in dialogue balloons, with a few lines of dialogue at the beginning and the end. Young children are going to need someone to explain the puns. The full-spread, vibrantly colored cartoons elucidate the text, but many adults will be upset by a picture of the baby under a hail of "bullets."-Lynda S. Poling, Long Beach Public Library, CA
