animals in motion
This is a good book for anyone that is learning to draw animation for the movement of animals is broken down to quick frames; this is good drawing practice to get in to capture movement.
One of the best Animation resources I could purchase
I've found this book to be useful because I don't get the opportunity to visit the zoo as often as I like. I find this book to be supplemental material to every character animation book I've ever seen on sale.
I find this book to be good and hopefully the Drawn to Life Series will cement my education as a independent animator. I've just purchased the human figure in motion edition of this series too. I find rotoscoping to be the best way to get started on animation. Even if you're not an aspiring animator this book will prove to be useful to you if you want to draw an figure in a more interest pose. There are several poses for you to use for reference for any art composition you can dream of.
Drawing from photographs is no great sin like some art snobs would tell you. Though Drawing from life is still a good idea it's not the only way to learn how to draw.
Not a one stop resource for the movement of animals just a nice supplement.
Great addition for artist study
As an abstract painter, I find this a great addition to my resource library for painting and image reference. It is also a nice companion to the Humans in Motion book.
