About the Author
Lesley Teare trained as a textile designer, with a degree in printed and woven textiles. She has been one of DMC's leading designers and her cross stitch designs appear regulary in magazines including World of Cross Stitch and Cross Stitch Magic. She has contributed designs to three David & Charles titles, Cross Stitch Greetings Cards, Cross Stitch Alphabets and Cross Stitch Angels (April 2004). Lesley lives in Hitcham, Suffolk.

Well worth the money
This book has been so wonderful -- the projects really ARE quick and many of the motifs are beautiful. Although I'm a slow stitcher, I've already stitched three projects from this book in the last six months and I'm getting ready to add another. If you're looking for a book with lots of ideas, this is the one.

Full of useable ideas
I love this book! It's full of ideas and easy to follow instructions. I bought it for the pattern ideas and designs, but it's full of cute gift ideas...VERY do-able. The patterns are simple and easy to follow, great for completing in a weekend. However, with a little imagination, the patterns can go together to create more complex designs. Beginners will appreciate that the back of the book has a section with basic stitching techniques and instructions on how to complete some of the projects. All in all, I'm very happy and got just what I expected.

Cute projects. These are easy and quick to make. If you are looking for something to add as a last minute gift, this is the book for you.
