A must for every quilter
This is by far the best quilting book in my collection. It features gorgeous patterns, and excellent instructions. This book also features outlines of the cutting templates you will need. This book is so detailed that you can pick up this book and complete the quilt without requiring outside references. The only difficult thing about this book is picking the pattern you will make as they are all so beautiful. An excellent blend of piece quilting and applique quilting patterns.
Useful book- but watch for shrinkage during prewashing.
This is an amazing quilt book, and by far the most used in my collection. The patterns are beautiful and the instructions are clear. I spend a lot of time simply looking at all of the beautiful full page color photos! I've also learned a lot from the general tips at the beginning of the book. This is a wonderful resource for beginning and intermediate quilters, who don't know how to do things like sew set-in seams and make large amounts of bias binding.
One thing to note about this book- the fabric measurements don't account for shrinkage during prewashing. This has been an issue on some of the quilts that require a lot of fat quarters, where I've found myself an inch or two short for that last row of shapes during cutting. When making any pattern from this book, buy an extra quarter yard of large amounts and a few extra fat quarters for scrap quilts.
Best addition to my library
This is the best quilting book I have purchased. The pictures are fabulous and easy to see. There are complete and easy to understand instructions for each pattern. There are so many of these quilts that I'd like to make, I'll be busy for years. I would highly recommend this book to any quilter.
