Product Description

What would you like to have crocheted by tomorrow —a cardigan with a matching halter top? A cozy afghan? Perhaps a warm hat to ward off the wind? Then get out the needles and follow these patterns, because every one of them takes just a day to do. Even though a crocheter with average skill can handle them all, those with more experience will find plenty of details to intrigue them in these fashionable designs. The sexy, low-cut Glitter Glamour Top and Shawl make a lovely combination, and photos present a variety of stylish ways to wrap the shawl. Or crochet a cheery multicolored scarf, sweaters, purses, outfits for babies and children, and lots more. Includes a conversion chart for crocheters outside the U.S.

Great book for everyone from beginner to expert5
I am very happy with this book. I learned to do very basic crochet (ch and dc) about ten years ago, but did not stick with it. I gave it another try about 5 months ago, and really got "hooked" this time. Going on just that basic knowledge, I began to teach myself with books how to do other stitches, read patterns, etc. This book has some very nice projects in it that will not intimidate beginning crocheters, others that will be challenging enough to keep more advanced crocheters interested, and beautiful photographs of everything. One of the things I like best about it is that it names by brand and color the type of yarn used for each project, and suggests alternatives. For the most part, the author used inexpensive to moderately priced yarns that are easy to find in a craft store or discount store. Many of the other crochet books, I've found, use expensive wool, silk, ribbon yarns - that you can't find just anywhere and may make your simple sweater or tote bag project cost more than you can afford to/want to spend. There is only a short "crochet basics" stitch review section in the back of the book. If you can chain and you are comfortable with the basic crochet stitches, I think this is a really good book to start off with. Making something nice from a pattern for the first time will give you a great feeling and inspire you try more and more.

something new in a day5
Crocheting is having a fashion revival and this book helps show why. M's Weiss keeps the projects simple but interesting, easy enough for the beginners and something fast for the experienced crocheters. Want a new bag to take to the beach tomorrow? or how about a halter top? THis book shows you how to make these items and a lot more.
I recommend this book highly for the ease of the instructions as well as the diversity of the patterns.

Very good crochet book!4
This has a good basic t-shirt and tank top pattern. There is a sexy camisole top, a halter top and a half-tank/sexy top, some hats and a couple bags I like. Ordinary patterns fill the rest of the book; scarves, afghans, some ugly hats and a horrible purse, some doilies, kids' clothes, a hipster scarf that looks like a shawl and a headband. This is worth the $$ for the good patterns! Sizes go from small to large, yarn weights are listed and instructions/photos are great!
