mixed bag
The approx 60 projects are arranged in broad subject: layettes, afghans, girls, boys, christening, and for toddlers. The layette section includes several nice baby afghans plus lots of booties, hats, cozie sacque for preemies and pillow toys. The afghan section has an interesting aran and a round blanket in a variegated yarn. The girls section covers sizes 3 to 24 months. Nicest one is a romper and jacket. Boys chapter has cardigans and hats that could also work well for little girls. Christening chapter has outfit for baby boy and for baby girl from 3 to 24 months plus an afghan wrap. Toddler sizes go from 2 to 4. It has some cardigans, pullovers and summer top. Print and binding in this oversize paperback are good. I thought the patterns are pretty dull on the whole but the yarns called for are your easy to find yarns not expensive. The skill levels are given for each project and seem to be on the easy side. All instructions are written out and there are no charts or schematics. The cover sweater is a cardie in the boys' section.
I'd suggest to look before you buy on this one.

Crochet for Babies
This is a wonderful book!! The projects are very trendy and the instructions clear and easy to follow. The photography is great, very inspiring. I looked for a long time for crochet that was not the "granny" old fashioned styles; and this is simply what I had searched for. Beautiful book.

Adorable Patterns!
Usually when I buy a book there are patterns that I like and usually quite a few that I don't but I think every single outfit, blanket, and toy is absolutely adorable! I love this book! It has outfits all the way up to 4T and one little sweater/shrug you can make up to 6T! So you can use this for quite a few years! Highly recommended!
