I like the smaller board book because it is cheaper and very durable for classroom use. Fun, simple story for use with units on numbers or fruits/veggies. (Or caterpillars for that matter.)

The most pedagogically sound Spanish curriculum I have found- of particular interest is the recent integration with www.quia.com for online workbook, audio, listening, and testing.
