Depends on the phone
I used this with my old phone (Nokia 3590) and it really did make an improvement! I got it for my new phone (Sony Ericsson z520a) and it didn't help at all. You can look for these on Ebay too, if you want to give it a try and not spend a lot of money.

Helps a little
I ordered this hoping to improve my cell reception, well it did in deed help some but not alot. I still use it and it has helped, but just don't expect a dramactic increase.

Didn't Work for Me
No benefit for my phone, which is an LG VX6000.
