IN YOUR FACE!
this band has no shame at all, what a great band to be put together after kid dynamite! each song is incredibly short, tracks on average run to about a minute long, the whole record is 18:39, but it's just a quarter hour explosion of hardcore insanity that will make you want more and more. It makes me happy to see artists out like this today, keeping the hardcore punk sound alive instead of all these other groups converting to screamo, not taht i do not enjoy screamo, it just becomes dull seeing everyone doing it. This is a fun filled piece of work that i have my fullest respect for, all the tracks are catchy and may give an individual an immortal feeling to go and have a great time!
HOOKED UP! - SUCKED DRY!
I was about to give this a 4/5, but tried thinking of negative aspects which would merit the 4/5 rating instead of a 5/5, and nothing came up. Everything about this record meets what I believe straight-up melodic hardcore should sound like. Inspiring and aggressive, yet easily decipherable lyrics. Plenty of fast parts to get you all riled up to run around in a circle pit. Perfectly placed breakdowns for good ol' floor-punching action. And, my personal favorite, the intense sing-alongs.
There really isn't much else to say that hasn't already been said about this awesome album, except this: buy it, learn the lyrics, memorize the breakdowns, and catch Paint it Black the next time they come near your town.
this album is a kick in the teeth to all aimless mainstreamo
if your sick of over-polished pish, all your friends are into dashboard confessional, taking back sunday with a dash of 'really heavy'music like Thursday and you kind of like 'emo' but you know there's something wrong with what they call 'emo' nowadays. (and im sure theres other people like that) then this 18 or so minutes is absolute heaven. its hard hitting, heartfelt and some might say macho, also, fast as anything you've heard. it manages to do 45 second tracks without being one of those artwank bands that you know people only by the records of because they consider themselves eclectic. Its hardcore without sounding as dated as your black flag cds, buy this album fer christsakes.
