A fresh new face on the music scene
Lucas Cates is a young singer/songwriter out of Madison, Wisconsin. Lucas's debut CD, "Contradictory" (PopBomb Records) is quite impressive and snagged three Madison Area Music Awards this year. Great songwriting skills, stellar musicianship, and a killer baritone make this CD a must-have. From the upbeat, feel-good title song to the seductive strains of "Undercover," this CD vibes with the sound of a musician well beyond Lucas's age and experience. Every once in a while, God blesses the world with a musical talent that cannot be denied. In this time and at this place, that talent is Lucas Cates. Sample the selections, and I guarantee you will agree with this assessment. Watch for Lucas on tour in 2008, and if you get the chance to see him live, don't pass it up.
