21st Century Rock5
The oohlas debut work is an interesting mix of straight up fun rock as in the single rupert krikor chang and more complex psychadleic compositions as in the single the rapid. This is also one of those few new bands that make music with interesting thought provoking lyrics. The professional compositions in the music shine through even though this production was put together on a low budget indie label. It is a wonder that 2 or 3 cuts including gone, small parts, or charbonneau have not become big radio hits. The film industry has included a cut on Spiderman III. Maybe it is because most of today's radio stations have DJ's who simply play the music that is fed to them by station owners. They are missing out on a great new piece of work by this band and its founder Greg Eklund formerly with Everclear a band that in its day was a commercially successfull pop band. Give this music a try even if big radio has not bothered to you will find yourself spinning it over and over again and asking yourself WOW why has this band not gone big yet! Best Stop Pop

AWESOME!5
I found out about this band while I was flying on an airline that has in-flight entertainment. I had to buy the CD, right after I got back from my trip I ordered the CD, I had to wait a few more days for it to be deliver because I was out of town but it was very much worth it.

Great lyrics, Great Sound....Quite Unique!!!

EASILY One of the Best CDs from 20065
If you need a comparison, consider them a Pixies and Breeders hybrid with even catchier melodies. Will this album stand the test of time? I don't f-ing know. But after my first listen of Small Parts six months ago, I have not gone a week without listening to this CD. These guys are the real deal. I hope their appearance on Spider-Man 3 ensures more CDs from the LA trio.
