Editorial Reviews
Album Description
This melodic rock band from Florida has been holding strong in the top 30 music charts on MySpace and sold 10,000 copies of their self-released EP on the Warped Tour this summer without stepping on a single stage. They sold to kids in the parking lot and standing in line. Their debut breaks the cookie cutter mold set by MTV and the radio and brings listeners to a state of frenzy in an earth-shaking way. Look for them on tour this fall.
Customer Reviews
Mayday Parade is way more that Amazing!
Being a connoisseur of good music, I look for bands that have some special to bring to the table. Standing in line at WArped TOur this summer I expected to hear a lot of new music. What I didn't expect was to have the highlight of my day standing in line at WArped TOur. Ever since then, I have listened to their ep multiple times. By far the best music I purchased all year. These guys bring triple-threat vocal harmonies, great guitar parts, and progressive style drumming. Each song on this ep is different. Lyics are amazing! Whether you've loved, lost, or been stepped on, this ep will speak to you!
Mayday at its best
I can honestly say, there isn't a track on this album that doesn't send chills down my spine.
My first taste of Mayday Parade was through their album "A Lesson in Romantics", and when i worked my way back to their EP, i was absolutely blown away. I am eager to hear their new stuff, and hope they return to their roots for a new album.
Dual Vocal Heaven
Being a connoisseur of dual vocal music (Taking Back Sunday, Just Surrender, Hidden in Plain View), I can say that this cd makes fights out for the top of my list.
MUCH better than the full-length that follows it. It is full of raw emotion and amazing lyrics. One of two CDs that feature Jason Lancaster as 2nd vocal (deeper more accented voice).
I would highly recommend picking this up for anyone. Even if you're glancing at this. Buy it, you will NOT be disappointed.
