Australia's most brutal export unleashes a catastrophic cyclone of furious metal. This record, their second, teems with complex arpeggios, thrashing angular riffs, and blood curdling growls. For fans of Unearth, Terror, Bury Your Dead, and As I Lay Dying.

Brutal and Relentless!!! Flying The Flag for Australian Metal/Hardcore
Parkway drive just keep getting bigger, better and stronger! With there impressive debut album 'Killing With A Smile' they set a new benchmark for Australian Metal/Hardcore and rest assured 'Horizons' is here and its everything 'Killing With A Smile' was and more! Bigger groves, more punishing breakdowns and a more matured songwriting approach that will appeal to extreme music fans the world over. There isn't enough good words to say about this record, BUY IT NOW you couldn't possibly be disappointed... if you've seen them live you know what i'm talking about.
Brutal and Hardcore, but not quite as good as their first
I have to start by saying that I feel kinda bad for the 4 star review, I would really like to give it a 4.5 as it is very good. These guys really know how to play. They have excellent rythm and remain melodic throughout their fast beats, devilish drumming, and finger-splitting guitars. I think the breakdowns are what gives "Killing With A Smile" the edge. "Horizons" still features the same excellent riffs and heavy breakdowns, but it feels like it's just a half notch lower if that makes any sense. Even with that very minor complaint, this alblum is still better than 90% of the metal I have ever heard - and that's pretty much all I listen to! Don't miss these guys, "Horizons" and "Killing With A Smile" are two of the best CD's I have ever purchased.
Legendary
There are hundreds and hudreds of great metalcore/deathcore bands out there, but after listening to Parkway Drive's 1st and latest album, they are nothing short of Legendary (in my eyes) of this genre. The only band I see even coming close to being so brutal with their breakdowns is The Acacia Strain, but even so, have nothing on these guys making the most aggresive music I have every had the privelage to hear. Every song on this album is pure eye of the storm leading all the way up to its last, 'and most epic', song Horizons. Any brutal metal fan will definantly appreciate this album.
