You get the impression that former Dream Theater front man Charlie Dominici used the past 16 years since he left the elite prog-metal act, with whom he recorded their debut release When Dream And Day Unite in 1989, exclusively to save his strength for a truly monumental work. Now he is about to release the third and final part of his 03 trilogy, proving emphatically that he still hasn t run out of important things to say, in terms of both his music and his lyrics. Dominici refers to his music as metal progressive pop , forging an arch with his compositions from ultra-tough riff monsters through atmospheric soundscapes, to quiet, almost intimate moments. Just in time as the Power Metal and Progressive genres heat up sales everywhere!

Customer Reviews
epic dark end to a great trilogy!
This is the 3rd and final part of the "03 Trilogy"
Best way to describe it is epic and Heavy. Its much more heavy than part 2, but it works out well. This final installment is very dark, and the heavy mood is very fitting. Its also very Progressive, and it has some great playing on it. Great guitar and keyboard playing! The bass and drums are also very strong, the drums are amazing. The drummer reminds me ALLOT of Mike Portnoy. musically this album is very Dream Theater influenced. Dominici (former dream theater vocalist) also puts on a great proformance. I never liked him much, but he greatly improved on this album.
so what we got here is a very strong progressive metal album. from start to finish it is great. not one bad song on here. defidently give it a listen. one of the best albums this year.
if you like dream theater, symphony x, and pagan's mind type bands this is for you!
Good, but....
...not what I expected. When I reviewed Pt 2 I described it as this generations Operation: Mindcrime and still stand by that assessment. That being said (man i hate that phrase) this is probably similar to Mindcrime 2, a long wait for not that big of a payoff. Maybe just didn't get it, but the vocals are buried way down this time, so its hard at times to hear what hes singing about. Musically its pretty good, but no milestones here, you can definetly hear the DT infulences. At least hes not stealing old Metallica riffs (oh im sorry, thats right, they're "tributes") Anyway Id give it a listen just to hear the end of the story (whatever that may be) Three stars. Joe Bob says check it out.
