In 2003, Delta took Australia by storm, breaking chart records and becoming one of only a handful of albums to sell over a million copies in Australia. Her first CD, Innocent Eyes, released overseas in 2003, has now reached over 4 million sales worldwide and earned the singer the Highest Selling Album award at the Australian equivalent of the Grammys two years running. She spent a record-breaking 29 weeks at No.1 in Australia and reached No.2 in the UK. Each of the album's five singles made No.1 in Australia - breaking a record held by Kylie Minogue and the Beatles.

Delta is a song writing force to be reckoned with. In 2006, Goodrem performed a self-penned song, "Together We Are One," at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in front of a worldwide audience of 1.5 billion. The inspirational song surfaced on last year's American Idol. Another song penned by Goodrem, "Days Go By," was a No.1 hit this year by Norwegian Idol Glenn Lyse, while she also just collaborated on a song with hero Olivia Newton-John for her new cancer charity. "Olivia's been a shining light for me," Delta says. Another one of Goodrem's songs, "Eyes on Me," was selected by Celine Dion for her latest album Taking Chances. "To hear `Eyes on Me' sung by a woman I've looked up to all my life - that's an amazing feeling,'' Goodrem says.

Pretty darn great album!!!
I loved this album, more so than her previous one (Mistaken Identity - which I didn't really like to start off with at all) and perhaps as much as her first album (Innocent Eyes - A huge success in Australia). It does take away one original track from the Australian release (The Guardian) and replaces with Born to Try (2002 release) which is a bit of a pity, but understandable when trying to break into a new market. I love the cover photo too! Way softer and prettier than the Australian release. For those that loved this album, you should definitely look into buying the previous two albums.

I received the CD in an aqequate time frame. However, the CD was less than I expected. Probably just personal preference, but the only song I really like on the album is the radio hit.

Not only do I love every sample of this cd, I think it does not need any other production assists (ie Timbaland, etc). The music and lyrics are beautiful just the way they are. To have this creative ability at 23 is amazing!
