Suidakra are great once again.
They got rid of that horrid singer they had on "Command To Charge", the best thing they could have ever done.

Excellent Celtic folk metal album
For a band that's been around almost a decade and a half, Suidakra are finally getting their due. This will hopefully be the album that sees them getting the recognition and respect that is long overdue to them.

Starting with the artwork (outside cover artwork and several illustrations inside) by the always excellent Kris Verwimp, it creates an aesthetic that really matches the music contained inside. Amazing desolate landscapes reflect the epic character of the music and illustrations of key events from the story (it's a concept album) are all contained in a classy and well-designed digipack.

The music is a finely honed version of what Suidakra does best, melodic death with Celtic influences. Acoustic guitars and folk melodies abound, and the bagpipes are back for a few tracks. The songwriting seems to be finely tuned, and even better than you've heard them previously. This is top-tier Grade A stuff. This album SHOULD get Suidakra up there with the leaders of the genre. Whether or not it actually DOES is a different matter, but it would be well deserved.
