Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $0.54
Rod's best CD of the 80s rocks a bit harder than most of his post 70s albums. Featured 4 top 20 hits--Lost in You, Forever Young, Crazy About Her, and My Heart Can't Tell You No.

The most underrated, undervalued and unappreciated album of Rod Stewart's career. A must for even casual Rod fans. BUY THIS ALBUM and thank me later.

FLFF was blasted by critics in 77, but it remains a favorite among staunch Stewart supporters.

A strong debut. Plenty of good material and stirring performances by Rod, Woody and pals.
Tonight I'm Yours [CD on Demand]Tonight I'm Yours [CD on Demand] by Rod Stewart

Features Young Turks, the Rod classic "Only a Boy" and a great Dylan cover, "Just Like a Woman."
Vagabond HeartVagabond Heart by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $0.47
A strange collection of mostly hits and a few misses. (The singing is of course, first rate.) Features a blistering duet with Tina Turner. Feels more like a collection than an original album.
Atlantic Crossing (2 CD Limited Edition)Atlantic Crossing (2 CD Limited Edition) by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $22.99 / Used from: $20.00
His first Faces-less CD. Features the great Stewart ballad, Still Love You as well the rocker Three Time Loser. This collector;s edition of Rod's 1975 album is worth the extra $$ as the second disc is filled with alternate takes and bonus cuts.
Every Beat of My HeartEvery Beat of My Heart by Rod Stewart
This sounded fantastic in 1986, partially because it followed 1984's disastrous Camoflauge. Features a Stewart hidden classic: Ten Days of Rain
When We Were the New BoysWhen We Were the New Boys by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $0.01
Title track, Oasis tune (Cigs and alcohol) and Ooh La La make this a keeper

SoulbookSoulbook by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.99
Rod released this album after his worst decade (in terms of quality) so it sounded pretty damn good in 2009. Though it's been recorded too many times, he nails If You Don't Know me by now, as well Rainy Night in Georgia and Same Old Song. This is not soul in the traditioal sense but it is decent AOR.
HumanHuman
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $0.01
Contains no new Rod Stewart-written material. Though there are no bad songs here, there are no truly great ones either, though "Soul on Soul", "If I Had You" & "Smitten" come close.
SmilerSmiler by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $6.98 / Used from: $1.98
Considered the first bad album Rod made. In hindsight; its actually pretty decent. Features the original British hit "Farewell"
Foolish BehaviourFoolish Behaviour by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $12.00
A must have only for the inclusion of "Oh God I Wish I Were Home Tonight"
Blondes Have More FunBlondes Have More Fun by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $3.38
Buried on this medicore album (Rod was in terrible voice) is one of his finest creations, the moving Scarred and Scared, a tale of a man on death row. In addition to the insipid "Da Think I'm Sexy," Blondes also contains the top 30 U.S. hit "Ain't Love a Bitch," which has never appeared on any Rod compilation album, and the Rod classic "Is that the Thanks I Get."
Stardust... The Great American Songbook, Vol. IIIStardust... The Great American Songbook, Vol. III by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.92
The singing is a little better here than the first two but it's mostly the same. Let us pray it stays a TRILOGY....and ends here...(update: Of course it didn't stay a trilogy. Rod did one more and it was dreadful. Volume 3 is most definitely the only songbook you will need from Rod.) This despite a purely awful duet with Dolly Parton. The duo completely butcher "Baby it's cold outside."
Still the Same...Great Rock Classics Of Our TimeStill the Same...Great Rock Classics Of Our Time by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $1.47
Mistitled. Should be "Mediocre Pop Tracks of the 70s" Right in the middle of this mess is "Father & Son," a stunning thing of beauty that reminds you how good Rod Stewart can be, if only Clive Davis would leave him alone.
It Had to Be You... The Great American SongbookIt Had to Be You... The Great American Songbook by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.06
Not entirely successful, it does feature a few tunes that should go down as Rod classics (at least, to Stewart fans) most notably, "These Foolish Things," and "The Way You Look Tonight.""
Lead VocalistLead Vocalist by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $2.88
This European-only release from 1993 made no sense at all. It combined 7 oldies with 5 brand new recordings, the best of which were Tom Waits' "Tom Traubert's Blues" & "First I Look at the Purse."
As Time Goes By...The Great American Songbook: Volume IIAs Time Goes By...The Great American Songbook: Volume II by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $2.28
Not quite as "good" as Volume I and, sadly, the commercial success of this probably signifies the end of Rod Stewart's undervalued songwriting career. He has written 5 songs in the past decade.
Absolutely LiveAbsolutely Live by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $3.04
This CD disastrously omits the only two new songs that were on the LP and cassette. Recorded before Rod started using ear monitors so he sings louder and not as well as in later years. Fair CD.
Body WishesBody Wishes by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $6.03
As always, there are two great tracks--"Dancin' Alone" a rocking original, and the hit single "Baby Jane."
CamouflageCamouflage by Rod Stewart
Buy used from: $3.20
Only 8 songs THANK GOD! Two of them (the title track and his embarassing remake of "All Right Now") may be the most awful songs he's ever recorded.
Thanks For The Memory...The Great American Songbook IVThanks For The Memory...The Great American Songbook IV by Rod Stewart
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $2.90
Forever a Dull Moment...Bland; lifeless, the worst of his career. The only highlite is You Send Me, which should have been a solo number instead of a duet...BRING ON THE GREAT AMERICAN SOULBOOK
