Trapeze's second album is where it really all begins. This rock trio had a major influence on bands like ZZ Top, and were the first band signed to The Moody Blues label, Threshold. Glenn's voice is not yet what it would become, but it's still solid

Tommy Bolin comes in on guitar and the Purple record this lackluster album. Still "Gettin Tighter" and "This Time Around" are essential Glenn.

Live album from the "Stormbringer" tour. heavy on the jamming, and not really essential. Glenn is in fine form!
Play Me OutPlay Me Out by Glenn Hughes

Glenn strikes it solo and releases this excellent soul record. This boy could sing white soul like no other. He is joined by Mel Galley and Dave Holland (Trapeze) as well as a killer horn section.

Excellent eighties collaboration w/ Pat Thrall. Heavy on the pop/metal trend, but with that voice, you can't go wrong!
From Now On... [Japan Import] +2 Bonus TracksFrom Now On... [Japan Import] +2 Bonus Tracks by Glenn Hughes
Glenn kicks is crippling drug habit and returns in the early 90s with this album. The songs lack a certain spark, but the voice is better than ever!

Glenn returns to the soul and releases his best solo album yet! Funky, soulful, and full of great songs! Pat Thrall guests on a few tracks.
AddictionAddiction by Glenn Hughes

Taking a complete 180, Glenn tackles his addiction with a heavy grunge backdrop. Great songs, but really, really heavy! Being a fan of the more soulful side, this album can be a bit of a put off.
The Way It IsThe Way It Is by Glenn Hughes

This album sits uncomfortably between his first solo phase, and his latest resurgence. Not really that good, but worth a listen.

Music for the DivineMusic for the Divine by Glenn Hughes

Now this album is amazing! Glenn's most mature and satisfying songwriting to date. The melodies just overflow and wrap you in their warmth. Again, Chad Smith plays perfectly behind the kit!
This Time AroundThis Time Around by Glenn Hughes
Buy new: $37.99 / Used from: $15.35
Why can't you find new releases in this listmania function? This is my stand-in for "First Underground Nuclear Kitchen", Glenn's newest record. It's a great heavy funk/soul record prooving that age can't damage a perfect voice. Sadly, we lost Mel Galley this year, and this album is bit of a tribute!
