Old Fashioned Phone Doesn't Hold Up
I bought this phone for Christmas, I guess because what husband doesn't want to give his wife something old and funky. The look on her face was great. Her comment was better: "A John Deere phone? Nice...." Whatever you do, don't make my mistake. Think jewelry, or maybe bathrobe, but not old farm phone. Unless, of course, you've got that kind of gal. But don't blame me.
Anyhow, this thing worked for about 2 months. I sincerely believe that nobody used it even once, other than each of my sons marveling at its "novelty." But now it's dead. No telling why it died. It just did. And is there a warranty? I have no idea. But even if there is, it's as functional now -- dead -- as it was when it was still kickin'. Nobody used it then; nobody uses it now. So I can't bring myself to toss it in the trash.
And that brings me to the one star. Since it is just interesting enough looking that I can't bring myself to throw out this otherwise useless piece of junk, I guess it gets one full star for that.
If you happen to be in that group of consumers, however, who believe that phones should function as more than dust collectors, you should not buy this phone.
