Not a good set for a tournament player
When mine came in the mail it was missing pieces, and the size of the pieces are scaled by a 3 inch king, not the advertised 3 and 1/2 inch. This renders the entire set to be unusable in all USCF tournaments (I'd imagine for ALL chess federations as well). The set would probably be a functional chess set had I requested piece replacements, but to any tournament player, they would notice the pieces are not of good quality. However if you just want a cheap functional chess set, it's not that bad of a choice.

Chess Club Advisor
I ordered 10 of these sets. They are just perfect for elementary school chess club. The pieces are a little lighter than I would like, but the kids don't care at all. One set was missing several pieces. I contacted the company directly and had the replacement pieces in time for the next meeting. I plan on purchasing more of the same as our club grows.

Chess To Go
My son want a chess set that can take along to school, trip or overnight to friend's home. This is a great one to take along. It have a roll up base and good size chess. The only one thing that my son did not like was the carry tube lid does not stay close, always pop open and everything fell out.
