Product Description

One of the oldest French candies, it is made in Rouen, Normandy. The candy was created in the 16th century and was prepared with concentrated apple juice and sugar, heated to high temperatures before being shaped into sticks. The initial recipe was improved by adding glucose and then apple essence andlemon juice which makes it look clear. THe current shape was arrived at in 1865 and it represented the big Clock of Rouen, and has a traditional and recognizable packaging.
