Amazon.com Product Description
Ideal for home offices or small businesses that send out a high volume of mail, the PS110 postal scale helps you calculate the correct postage for any item weighing between 0 and 10 pounds. The scale is equipped with four optimally placed single-strain gauges and a temperature-compensated load cell. In layman's terms, this means the scale is precise to within 0.1 of an ounce, so you needn't worry about your mail being rejected because of insufficient postage. In addition, the weighing platform, which measures 5.5 by 5 inches and is made of fine-textured, high-impact ABS plastic, sports a fold-up top for weighing oversized items, such as large flat envelopes or mailing tubes.

What really separates this scale from many competing scales, however, is its calculating function. The PS110 doesn't just weigh your item, but it also figures the postage cost based on weight and method (first-class, parcel post, priority, etc.). The scale supports all of the most popular USPS postal rates for domestic routes and even many international zones (1 through 8). The scale also offers rates for Global Express Mail (Canada, Mexico, U.K., Japan, and China) and International Airmail Letterpost. And there's no need to get a different scale to calculate rates for domestic Mexico and Canada service--the PS110 handles that, too.

Other conveniences include an easy-to-read seven-segment LCD display, a nine-key membrane keypad, a Tare function that lets you re-set the "zero" weight (great for weighing loose items in a container without counting the container itself), and mechanical overload protection should you weigh an item that exceeds 10 pounds. The PS110 scale, which measures 5.5 by 2.25 by 7.75 inches (W x H x D), is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

Customer Reviews

Buyer Beware....1
This is a great scale. The bad thing is you need the new RATE CHIP for it which costs nearly $50.00.

Keyboard needs improving3
The keyboard is really non-responsive. It's a flat membrane type keyboard where you end up smashing the key like crazy before it registers.

My other lesser cripes include: the single page of instructions are really poorly written, the chip that needs to be replaced (when postage prices change) costs $50, and my very first use of the scale reported my package at 8 oz and when I took it to the Post Office it weighed 8.1 oz which was enough to cost me an additional $0.50. Therefore, add a 0.1 oz to whatever the scale says to be safe.

It is very compact and it is nice to see the cost and weight of the item being shipped.

Awesome postal scale5
This scale is certainly an improvement over my first purchase! This one weighs correctly (and quickly!), which has saved me a lot of money, as well as many trips to the post office! I would recommend this scale to anyone who has a home business or just wants to save the hassle of going to the post office to get an envelope or package weighed.
