Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
The AT&T 265 Trimline Corded Telephone is a compact, affordable phone with a range of useful features, such as built-in caller ID and call waiting. The 80 name/number caller ID history ensures access to these numbers long after the calls were received, and the flash button makes the call waiting feature easier than ever to use. This Trimline's compact design make it an ideal phone for small spaces, and it's versatile enough to be mounted on either a tabletop or a wall. This phone doesn't even need access to an electrical outlet as it uses power from the telephone line to operate.

What's in the Box

Customer Reviews

Good Corded No Frills Phone4
My wife wanted a white slimline corded no frills phone, though one with caller ID would be nice. Corded phones are quickly becoming extinct, but I found this one at Amazon and got it. It is a very dependable phone with good quality sound, firm pushing buttons, a nice size LCD screen displaying date and time, and of course, it displays the caller ID with name, 10 digit number, and the date and time of the call. The only downside is the screen is not lighted making it difficult to read at times, but otherwise, a wonderful phone.

Decent Phone3
I think this phone is acceptable. The LCD for the screen is hard to read unless you are at just the right angle. The phone seems too thick. When wall mounted, it hangs up and the hook that keeps the receiver on is not too sturdy - a little bump of the cord will send it crashing to the floor.

The sound and call quality is perfect, though.

I wasted my money on this one.1
This phone lasted about two and a half months before the caller ID function failed. The retailer would not take it back, and, after four calls totaling about two hours of being on hold and speaking to "customer service," I first got the advice that I should attach another caller ID phone to the outlet or take my phone to someone else in my area code who has caller ID and ask that person to permit me to hook up my phone to see if the display worked. The best part of this advice is that I found a better phone at the same price. Assured that my caller ID function worked, I called "customer service" again and discovered that they wanted me to package the phone, ship it back to them, and wait six to eight weeks for a replacement. I do not recommend this phone, and I regret that AT&T has licensed its name to the company that manufactured this "product."
