I love it5
Fantastic little mp3 player! It's got all the bells and whistles. Everything from an FM radio to voice recorder to mp3s (of course), this little device can handle it all. It's sleek and stylish and the blinking red lights just plain look cool. Also, unlike past Sony mp3 players that require you to use SonicStage, you don't have to use it for this. It's all drag and drop, and also, it's compatible with the PS3! One thing I didn't particularly like is that you have to charge the battery via USB. If you can't find a computer or PS3 anywhere, you're screwed. Luckily though, they do sell USB power adapters out there, you just have to look. I've gone through an iPod nano, iriver t10, and sandisk sansa. So far, the Sony one is my absolute favorite. Get it, you won't regret it!

More Positive than Negative3
I once had a 20gb Ipod, for which I spent maybe $300-350. It broke in a year and a half, and repairing it would have cost just as much as buying a new Ipod.

So rather than going back to Apple, I decided to buy this mp3 player. While it's smaller than an Ipod shuffle (and you actually have a small screen) (a huge positive), the headphones were poorly produced (if not broken). The chord for the left ear plug is roughly an inch long, while the other chord is 4-5 inches in length so that it's very uncomfortable to wear (and I'm now using different headphones).

Another problem is that the mp3 player does not read certain file formats, such as .mp4 (typical for Apple) and .wmv sound files. Alas! I will have to go through the process again of ripping my cds onto my hard drive in .mp3, not .mp4. So those of you who are iPod users, beware that you won't be able to use iTunes to upload music into this player...but, if anything, we should blame Apple for using that file format over .mp3.

Great Little MP3 Player5
I have owned this little player for a week and so far am quite happy with it. I wanted a cheap (under $50) player that would allow me to carry tunes from computer to computer and would be good for running. This stylish gadget fits the bill. Unlike previous releases from Sony, you don't have to use their software (SonicStage) to use it. This is completely drag and drop; managing your music is as easy as managing files and folders. I use it with Windows Media Player and have had no problems. On feature I love is the quick charge, which will give you 90 minutes of play time for a three minute charge (I actually got over two hours from a three minute charge). It is also nice that it plugs right into your USB port with no need for a cord; that is true portability.

The one complaint (if you could call it that) I had is with the headphones. As with most earbuds that come with players these were subpar and bulky, they hurt my ears. I fixed that problem by investing in some Sony Mdr-Ex32Lp Earbuds Headphones. And now, I am perfectly happy with my set-up.
