Only One Regret
This unit has turned out to be an exceptional value. All the nailers work great and the compressor of course has other uses around the shop. After completing my first project using the unit my only regret is that I didn't spring for it years ago. It makes far more difference in speed and quality of assembly than I had imagined.

Overall quality seemed good
I purchased the Bostitch CPACK 3 (compressor and 3 air tools). The price was excellent and I was excited to try out the unit. Packaging was very good, and showed no damage. I pulled the compressor out, and the plastic motor housing case was cracked 9 inches on the side and loose. The motor's belt was exposed behind this, but I was going to overlook this, because I don't have small children who would stick their fingers in there. I powered up the compressor, and tried all 3 guns. I was pleased with the quality of all 3 guns. Once the compressor didn't turn off, I turned it off with the power switch. That's when I heard & felt the leak between the regulator valve and the tank. After taking a quick look, I realized this was an obvious manufacturing defect that should of been noticed during a (hopefully) quality control test at the plant. This is when I decided I needed to return the product. I packed it back up, and after checking out the cardboard box, I decided that the compressor was cracked before it was even boxed. It was well packaged, and the crack seemed to be because the unit itself was dropped on its side before it was ever packaged. 3 stars because the compressor seemed of decent quality, and the guns did shoot evenly, and accurately. A non-defective unit would of earned 4.5 stars.

Great set for the home do it your selfer
Hello all. I bought this set about three months ago and it has worked out very well. No complaints, but man are compressors, or at least this one, noisy. All my neighbors know when I am doing some nailing. I have used this from everything from building cabinets and shelving to hanging bead board. Of course a nailer of any type is a real time and labor saver. I really haven't had a need to use the stapler, but it is goot ohave all three and the finish nailer gets most of the work. I have some trouble getting the brad nailer to fully counter sink, though I should read the directions! Still, the manuals for this are poor in detail. Not a reason to not buy this, but if you haven't ever owned an air tool, make sure you have a friend who can tell you all the details. The hose that comes with this is probably the weakest point. It is very curly and does not give the impression it will last, but I may be wrong. This is all nitpicking. I have bought a ton of tools the past two years and this one is a great buy and you won't regret it. Alas, if it was only a four gun set with a framing nailer!
