About the Author
Rev. Buddy Bell, president and founder of the Ministry of Helps International, Inc., in Tulsa, Oklahoma, originally began serving in the ministry of helps in his local church by doing with excellence all his hand could find to do.

Sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Bell began developing highly effective methods of ushering, conspicuous only in their reflection of God's character and love. Ushers following his example or trained by him functioned supernaturally. As they maintained the order necessary to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to flow forth to minister, they spread God's love. People's needs were met not only in the services, but elsewhere in the church building, even in the parking lot. Consequently, churches began requesting Rev. Bell's usher and general ministry of helps training.

Rev. Bell began holding workshops, speaking at conferences, serving as a consultant to churches, filming videos and writing manuals and books to meet the need. His training, coupled with his hilarious presentation, have been in great demand. A MUST READ for any Christian
This book shows clearly the role of every Christian within their local church. Just as in baseball, not everyone can play shortstop - it's a team sport (and some people don't get to play all the time!) When God places you on a local "team" (your local church) - there are so many duties that can use YOU. Some roles are known, some are unknown. The point is, is that God HAS a role for YOU in the local church. Find one, stick to it, and let God use you in ways you never imagined!

Encouraging and motivating
Bob does a great job of helping the average reader understand their role in ministry - usher, music, etc. All are important in the body of Christ. I particularly appreciated his emphasis on QUALITY in our work.
