Robber-dog- rescue4
Reviewed by Evan Weldon (age 6) for Reader Views (11/08)

"Marley and Me: Marley to the Rescue" is a book about a yellow lab dog who tracks down a robber. Marley is a very silly and friendly dog. He likes to chew on things, and he often gets in trouble. One night a girl screamed for help. Everyone rushed outside and Marley's owners called the police. While Marley's owner was taking care of the girl, he didn't notice that he let go of Marley's leash. Marley followed the scent of the robber to the gas station. He cornered the robber until the police arrived. Marley was a very brave dog.

The photographs in the book were very good. My favorite picture was of Marley jumping out of the police car.

I recommend "Marley and Me: Marley to the Rescue" by M. K. Gaudet to people who like suspenseful books and people who like dogs.

Great book5
I bought this book for my son, who is a beginning reader. He loves dogs and loves this book.

Marley to the Rescue2
I bought this book for my six year old grandson and have decided not to give it to him. One page refers to "a bad man grabbed her and stole her purse. She was very scared" referring to a young neighbor of Marley's. I think that reference is too intense for an impressionable young child. The pictures are great and the rest of the story flows well. I think I will save it and give it to him later if at all.
