What I Wanted4
As I'm a bit of a tote bag/messenger freak, I looked around a bit before I made this purchase. In this instance, I wanted something that would be great for a short bike commute to work. I needed something that would fit my lunch, work-out gear, current knitting projects, and junk. Also, I wanted something that had a mesh pocket large enough to fit my liter SIGG bottle. I found myself looking at Osprey's line. Though, I'm not 'green,' I'm happy that it's mostly made of recyled materials. The price on Amazon (as per usual) was the best. I got the reddish colored one (as it was cheaper). Upon arrival I noticed that the color is a lot less red and more of a burnt orange color (which I prefer). My first thought was, "wow, this might be too big..." However, I warmed up to it once I started opening up the various compartments and messing with the buckles. This morning, I got everything I wanted to in the bag...and still have room for the laptop I'll be getting soon. I'd read other reviews about ppl getting confused about all the different pockets. I'm sure that will happen to me too :) The best part is the back top zipper that allows you access to the backside/laptop area without having to reopen the front buckled pouch. This bag is already a fav and it's only been 1 day.

* UPDATE: I've had the bag now for over 3 months now and am still very pleased with the purchase (especially bc I got it for a real deal price-wise compared to the current price). I wanted to add that my fav feature has to be the briefcase-like handle. It's awesome to have that option! I flew recently and having that handle helps tremendously when juggling multiple items. Plus, being able to hold it with a handle helps free up personal space when standing in cramped public transportation, etc.
