The Collectible Moment
Before I purchased this book I went to Pasadena to see the exhibit. I was very impressed with the large number of Edward Weston and Manuel Alvarez Bravo photos shown. Almost one-third of the book consists of reflections with photos by artists, curators and critics which contributes greatly to the book. If you are one of Weston's or Bravo's admirers you will not be disappointed in this book.
Excellent Book
This book is a monument to some of the greatest photographic talents that have existed! The reproductions are very good. If you didn't see the exhibit at the Norton Simon Museum (of which this book was created), or even if you did see the exhibit I highly recommend this book! Anyone who is a photographic student should most certainly take a look at the work of some of the geniuses whose work is included in the exhibit, study them well. Anyone who does will learn more about photography than they would from the best university in the world!!! If you are a collector of fine art photography this book is a great guide!
