Works fine for me
I would have to disagree with the previous reviewer. I own this radio and it works great for me. I've been an XM customer for about 5 years now (I got this one as a second receiver), and I have found that when using the modulator, it is necessary to find a station that has absolutely no bleed through, as it will cause disruption in the sound quality. This receiver has pretty decent features and allows you 3 categories for your favorites (which is good if you listen to several genres of music, in addition to sports, news, talk, etc., as I do), in addition to allowing customization of the viewing screen. A good receiver to get if you are trying satellite radio for the first tiem and don't want to spend a great deal of money.

Great Buy...
This unit was given to me and it sat in my closet for about a year before I broke it out and installed it. The installation took about an hour; beginning to end (wires hidden and all). I use the FM Modulator because my Ford Focus factory radio does not have an aux. line in. However, the factory radio receives the signal through the "sure connect" beautifully. The sound is better than local radio and quite close to CD quality. For the price, I think this unit is the bee's knee's; and for me it was free:). For the reviewers who are unhappy with the FM Modulator, your "sure connect" may have become compromised in some way or your radio is sub-par. For the Ford Focus factory radio and speaker system, this unit works well. I recommend it as a buy along with the home installation kit. This is a great gift to give.

Does what it's supposed to.
I have had my receiver for about 18 months, and have loved having it while sitting in traffic on the way to work. The sound quality is so-so, but that is due to the data being compressed before being sent through the airwaves...it has nothing to do with this receiver. All satellite receivers all sound similar due to this limitation. The compression hurts the dynamic range, so it's definitely not CD quality, but it is still acceptable.

I give it 4 stars because mine broke at the connector. May be due to my rough use, but a more robust connector design would be nice.
