Great Shoe...
Bought this shoe and the Mizuno Wave Creation 9 at the same time. This shoe was far superior in fit and function for me and was an upgrade from Gel Nimbus 9:
* Fits like a slipper (vs. oversize fit of Mizuno)
* Balanced and plush cushion system from heel to toe
* Consistent sizing with prior Asics models (Mizuno needs to be 1/2 size larger)
* Designed for medium to high arches - good comfort in upper shoe area
* Excellent no slip lacing
* Material/ventilation permits good shoe breathability
* Light weight at 12.4 oz (vs. 13+ oz for Mizuno)
* Ran on road, track and trail and felt that shoe performed on all terrains
Good, but not the Nimbus 9
I was a huge fan of the Nimbus 9, which rubbed a little, but overall fit me like a glove. The Nimbus 10 shoe has plenty of cushion and a really plush ride, just like the 9, but it doesn't fit quite the same. I found the arch support to be different and it increased my tendency to over-pronate way more than the 9. I really like the new lace pattern that follows the form of the foot. I know that it's not for everyone, but I dig it. I am in the process of trying an in-sole to correct the arch issue and it seems to be helping a bit but I was disappointed I didn't get the same out-of-the-box fit that I got with the previous generation.
100 miles+
I have ran over 100 miles in these shoes and they still are comfortable. Although, now it is time to buy some more. I WILL BUY THE SAME ONES!
