Great for Newborns, Glass Bottles, and Supplementing5
We used these when our son was a newborn and I was supplementing with formula. They fit excellent with our Evenflo classic glass bottles. Our son easily switched from breast to bottle without any issues. They have a nice venting feature, but be careful that your breastfed baby doesn't smother the venting hole :), because it sits real low on the nipple.

Cleaning these nipples was easiest using a Munchkin Dishwasher Basket and gel tab detergent.

Cons: Sometimes the airhole got stretched if I or my husband bent the nipple to shake the formula, resulting in sprays of formula across the room. LOL!

Really like them5
I was breast feeding in the begining, but my daughter wasn't gaining at all in the first 3 weeks, so we had to start supplementing her with a bottle, much to our dismay. We had two avent bottles and they worked great for supplementing, but my supply went down to almost nothing, which seems to be what happens when you supplement. I switched over to bottle feeding and had some classic glass bottles bought prior to her birth that we started using. I switched the rubber nipples with the nuk orthodontic ones and she transitioned really well over to a regular bottle. I like the little air vent and the flow isn't too fast or too slow. I was impressed with both the avent bottle and the classic glass with the nuk nipple, but the avents where much more expensive, so we just use the nuk.
