Best mechanical pencil I've ever used
I haven't seen this pencil in stores much lately, so I've tried many others, even some more expensive pencils. None was as good as this pencil. The barrel is nice and slim, it writes smoothly, and even with the fine point lead, the tip doesn't seem to break much. It has a white polymer eraser, which erases completely without leaving eraser marks (unlike the pink erasers). Glad Amazon stocks them!
An artist's best friend
I've used a slew of pencils, both mechanical and wooden, in my 6 years of drawing and this is by far the best I have come across. The pencil is perfectly balanced and makes lines smoothly, the grip doesn't annoy, and the eraser is passable. Another cool thing about these pencils is that they hardly ever jam and if they do, it's an easy fix. The lead's sturdy unless you start to put a lot of pressure on it, but you can get a lot of variation with these babies. I tend to buy the different varieties of leads they sell so I can get the soft and hard leads I need for shading without having to sharpen my pencil every two seconds.
One thing i've noticed about these pencils is that the eraser runs out quickly, and the little cap on the top is ridiculously easy to lose. I would suggest buying a seperate eraser and forgoing the use of the one on the pencil entirely except for emergencies.
Great and Affordable pencil
I never liked wooden pencils and other cheap Bic pencils were not meant to last long. this one IS I have used the same pencil for just over a year, and it looks good.
